This public discussion supports Astro’s simple comments mode. Astro reads public Discourse topic JSON and renders replies in a bounded, site-native frame. It requires neither a DiscussionBridge connection credential nor a receiver-plugin mapping.
I like this mode for documentation pages where readers need useful comments but do not need the full forum interface in the page.
The trade-off is intentionally small: replies are presented safely, while composing, accounts, moderation, and notifications remain on the forum.
